WELD BUILT is one of the oldest towing equipment manufacturing firms in the United States. In business since 1948, WELD BUILT manufactures a variety of light, medium, and heavy duty hydraulic wrecker ranging in capacities from 8 to 55 tons. Also manufactured are hydraulic flatbed carriers that can transport one or multiple disabled vehicles. Our customer base includes professional towmen, collision shops, automobile clubs, utility companies, the U.S. Military, national fleet accounts, various local municipalities, including New York City and overseas markets.
WELD BUILT headquarters is situated on four acres of land in Wyandanch on Long Island, approximately thirty miles east of New York City. The manufacturing facility includes a fabrication department, installation areas, hydraulic and machine shops, a lighting department, paint booths and repair facilities.
WELD BUILT’s sales network includes direct salespeople that handle customer sales in the surrounding New York metropolitan area. An in-house salesperson is also available to handle local inquires, telephone solicitations and municipal bid requirements.
